
Scientific symposium on violence against women
The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Dentistry held a scientific symposium entitled (Violence against women: repercussions, treatments, and recommendations).
The symposium, in which: Dr. Dr. Badria Nasser Abdul and Dr. Wafaa in the name of Muhammad, aims to violence against women as one of the most effective factors on their psychological health, and that the violence that women are exposed to – in the first place – their psychological health, where it increases They are at greater risk of developing anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The symposium clarified the most important psychological effects that affect abused women, while presenting a set of treatments and recommendations to reduce this phenomenon.
