The College of Dentistry at Wasit University held a symposium on the QS global rankings for universities, with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Al-Husseini, a representative of the organizing committee of the QS program at Wasit University.

The symposium aims to introduce the most prominent classifications, including the QS classification and the Spanish Web Matrix classification for evaluating universities and institutes, and to explain the QS classification indicators, as well as to gain scientific knowledge of these classifications and keep up with the latest developments in the indicators of this classification for universities, and then the entry of Iraqi universities into this global standard.

The symposium explained that these classifications follow many criteria, the most important of which is academic reputation, the ratio of the number of students to faculty members, the percentage of published research by faculty members, the international publication rate, and the extent of the university’s contribution to serving the surrounding community.
