
Symposium on archaeological sites in Wasit
The College of Dentistry at Wasit University held a scientific symposium entitled Archaeological Sites Discovered in Wasit Governorate, in cooperation with the Wasit Antiquities Inspectorate, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, the Scientific Assistant, the Administrative Assistant, and a number of professors, teachers, employees, and students.
The symposium aims to introduce archaeological sites and how to invest them in tourism development in Wasit Governorate and plan to invest in them, in addition to the fact that these archaeological sites and ancient cities are one of the most important sites for their role in archaeological tourism, which date back to ancient civilizations or those built in the Islamic era.
The symposium recommended the need to pay attention to protecting and maintaining archaeological sites and building bridges of cooperation between the university and the Wasit Antiquities Representation.
