The College of Dentistry at Wasit University organized a cultural festival on the occasion of International Arabic Language Day in Al-Makhzoumi Hall, in the presence of a number of college deans, department heads, and guests specialized in the Arabic language.

The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem and the reading of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the Iraqi martyrs.

Dr. Badriya Nasser presented the college’s speech, which included an overview of the history of classical Arabic and its importance among languages, and Professor Dr. Asaad Al-Mayahi gave a lecture on the flexibility of the Arabic language and its rich semantic dimension.
