
Wasit Dentistry participates in the programmatic accreditation workshop for dental colleges in Iraq
Assistant Professor Dr. Sarhan Rashid Al-Zayadi, head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the College of Dentistry at the University of Wasit, represented the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Thaer Hamid Al-Mayahi, participated in the workshop that was held at the College of Dentistry / University of Baghdad by the National Accreditation Council for Colleges of Dentistry on how to Applying and obtaining program accreditation for colleges of dentistry.
The lecturers stressed that one of the council’s goals is to achieve quality and integrity in education in dental colleges in Iraq. It is an urgent necessity and a national demand for the purpose of raising the level of graduates, providing the best types of health care, local and international academic accreditation, and applying national accreditation standards, which in turn rise to the level of international accreditation and quality standards in dentistry.
Dr. Sarhan Rashid said that program accreditation is a scientific institutional activity directed towards advancing and upgrading the level of educational institutions and study programs, and it is an effective and influential tool for ensuring the quality of the educational process, its outcomes, and the continuity of its development.
