In prior coordination, the Smile Makers student team at the College of Dentistry at Wasit University, accompanied by the teaching staff, conducted an inspection visit to the nursing home in the city of Kut as a community activity to determine the health situation and general services provided to the residents of the home.

This visit was conducted as part of a series of volunteer activities organized by the team throughout the academic year, which strengthen the bonds of community bonding between doctors and these poor segments.

The official sponsor of the team, Dr. Wissam Thamer Al-Mayahi, pointed out the necessity of paying attention to these initiatives and that the College of Dentistry is always at the forefront of such community activities.

In the same context, Dr. Sattar Al-Waeli said, “These initiatives are preparing a society built on love, compassion, and affection, free of hatred, anger, and resentment. The initiative to visit the nursing home is considered one of the praiseworthy morals in Islam and one of the best doors to goodness.”
